Do Resistance Bands Work?

 

A reader would like to know…

I’m really skeptical of resistance bands. They’re so cheap (5 bucks) and people talk about how good they are. But on the boxes it’s always women doing the bands not men. I’m a Track athlete and I want to know…will they work?

How good are they vs free weights (free weights are expensive in this tight economy)

Can I do leg workouts with resistance bands?
And I’m a man.

Resistance Bands Good Substitute For Weights?

Well are they. I’m a huge weightlifter, I’m planning on getting pretty muscular.

Though lately its been raining a lot outside and the gym where I go is pretty far.

I have been thinking of getting resistance bands cause I wont have to buy so many different weights.

But are they the same, will I get the “same results” as weightlifting??

Build Muscle Using Only Resistance Bands

 

A reader would like to know…

I’m doing biceps curls and working my triceps using resistance bands and have been doing it for about 2 weeks every night. I just haven’t been seeing any results yet. Can I use resistance bands alone (without using weights) to get some kind of curves in my arms?! Im already muscular and I have abs, just scrawny arms haha. Please help!

Buy Resistance Bands for P90X

 

A reader would like to know…

I am about to start P90X and instead of dumbbells I am going to use resistance bands, but I’m not sure what size I should get. How heavy should the resistance bands be?  I don’t wont to get bulky, just lose inches and tone up. I will also be using the band instead of the pull up bar for now because I know I will not beable to do that yet. Thanks for the help

How Come My Ab Workout Isn’t Working?

 

A reader would like to know…

I’ve been working out extensively and seeing the results very quickly. However, I’m not seeing the results on my abs at all. I’m not even feeling a burn on my abs and I’ve been doing 5-8 sets/20 reps of crunches. Other than crunches what rigorous workout can I do to workout my abs? Noting that I’ve gone through 2 pregnancies and C-section, I’m sure this is playing a huge role on not feeling the effects of my ab workouts. THANKS!
