Question:

I would also like to find one that is priced reasonably for good quality.

Answer:

There is no single ONE resistance BAND that is best for exercising because each exercise, each muscle group requires different levels of resistance. But don’t just go out and buy a bunch of resistance bands, especially the ones with handles already attached. What you need is a complete ADJUSTABLE system where the bands can be combined to create custom tension levels. You want a system that can workout the entire body, therefore it needs to come with all the attachments so you don’t have to buy anything extra.

That being said, what you want is the best set of resistance bands on the planet… Bodylastics resistance bands.

No, you can only get them online from Bodylastics. However, Terrell Owens’ contract with Bodylastics is up so they’re no longer calling them T.O. bands, but they still have them, only better than ever. They are called the Super Strong Man Edition.
I have a chest exercisers with 5 rubber resistance bands (some are the metallic spring type). They are not cracking yet, but they are starting to become chalky from usage. They’re cheap yes, but I want to prolong the life of the bands. What can I use to lubricate them? Can any home remedies such as baby oil be used? Thanks!

Answer: DO NOT LUBRICATE RUBBER ANYTHING! Oils deteriorate rubber. If you don’t like the chalky look, just take a damp rag and wipe them. Don’t use anything but plain bottled water to avoid the chlorine in drinking water because chlorine will do a number on them, too.

You can get more effective chest workouts, in fact, a complete body workout with Bodylastics resistance bands. They have a lifetime defect warranty. That chest exerciser of yours has a fixed tension and you may not be getting effective workouts. Bodylastics bands are adjustable and you can configure any amount of tension you need. Here are some of the chest exercises that you can do with them.

Resisted Pushup

One-Arm Chest Press

Standing Two-Arm Chest Press

One-Arm Forward Punch

Stability Ball/Seated Two-Arm Chest Press

Seated Two-Arm Chest Fly

One-Arm Standing Chest Fly

Standing Two-Arm Chest Press

I started Judo about 3 years ago. I did it for about 5 months and got to Yellow belt. The distance to Judo was too much, got too burned out on martial arts in general, so, I quit.

But, now I’m getting back into it. I’m not in good shape and struggle a bit through the workouts. Anybody recommend a basic workout routine I can start out with to get into shape for it?

i recently got a resistance band and am wondering if this could get me bigger traps pecs biceps and abs could this be done ……..cheers

Answer: You got “a” resistance band and you want to know if you can get bigger muscles with “it”? That’s like becoming a doctor by reading just one book or getting bigger muscles with just “a” dumbell. You need a complete set of resistance bands to do what you want to do. I suggest getting the Bodylastics Super Strong Man resistance bands set. You’ll get up to 254 lbs of tension in a single set that costs under $100. You can see a picture of it below. See the clips on the tubes? You’ll be able to configure any combination of tension from 5 lbs to 254 lbs. You get all the accessories included in the price, plus FREE daily online workouts.

Answer: Bodylastics really is the best out there. Did you know they come with anti-snapping technology now? They still have a lifetime guarantee, too. You can read more about the top bands here, including Bodylastics: Resistance Bands Reviews

Answer: How’s your form? Are you arching your back? When exercising, knees should be soft (slightly bent, not straight) and the pelvis should be tucked, do not arch your back. Arching the back will cause major pain in the lower back. Click here for free workouts from Bodylastics. They have 10 different exercise shows at the moment. Take a look at Eight Pack for ab workouts and

It should be a long and detailed workout with only props you can find around the house. Something like the workouts you would see in 17 magazine. I’m working on an 8 pack so it can be a pretty difficult workout. Please and thank you! :]

Answer: To do the most effective ab exercises, you need some form of resistance. For example, doing a bunch of situps soon turns in to 20, 30, 40…a bazillion. Why? Because they don’t offer enough resistance and you end up doing more of them. That’s not an efficient/effective way to workout. Exercising longer is a waste of time. What you want to do is increase the resistance when the going gets too easy.

That’s where Bodylastics fitness tubes come in, like the ones shown below. In fact, Bodylastics as a free workout show called Eight Pack. You can do about 3 circuits with only a few reps each. When it gets too easy, then increase the resistance by combining the tubes. They have clips on the end so you can configure them any way you like/need. By increasing the resistance and NOT the time exercising, your workouts remain short. Bodylastics has 10 different free workout shows in all that you can do at home.
